Field Supervisor – Cedar Rapids, IA

Vector Construction Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to join our expanding team of concrete restoration specialists, administering our innovative concrete repair solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support and foster Vector’s safety program and behavior-based safety culture at all times.
  • Coordinate tasks and allocate jobs according to project requirements - developing and managing site logistics plan.
  • Monitor and ensure projects are executed on time and on budget.
  • Communicate effectively with the Management Team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Be willing to learn and take on new types of work.
  • Be available and respond to project needs and issues in a timely manner.
  • Supervise team members and enable them to grow and succeed through effective feedback, instruction, and encouragement.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction with all phases of projects through completion.

Additional Duties:

  • Effectively motivate and lead a team of coworkers to reach project goals
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew members.
  • Provide hands-on involvement and support to crew members.
  • Manage field resources, labor and related material.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of the Owner.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and reports for each job as required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of construction experience - concrete experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Attention to safety and the ability to work safely.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage one’s own time and priorities.
  • Ability to travel as needed to complete projects.
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to detail while documenting daily construction activities.
  • Demonstrate a high level of energy, initiative and leadership.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • ASTM approved steel-toed work boots
  • A background check will be conducted on all successful candidates as a condition of employment
  • Vector is a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Successful candidates will be required to pass a drug screen
